Confirmation
at St. Joseph Catholic Church
CONFIRMATION
PARENT MEETING - Sunday,
Sept. 16, 2007 at 11:15am.
For all
Confirmation Candidates and at least one parent in the St. Joseph PAC.
Students must attend a minimum of 2 consecutive years of RE classes
prior to enrolling in the Confirmation Preparation Class.
Confirmation
preparation begins on the second Sunday of October. All
Confirmation
candidates should be attending regular high school Religious Education
now and throughout the Confirmation process (and beyond!) We
offer two
different options for high school catechesis- some students chose one,
some come to both.
Option
#1 is Keysis Sunday night meetings
from 6:30-8:00pm in the St. Joseph School secondary gym on Coulter
Ave. There is a 5:30pm Mass right before the meeting, and we
begin the
meeting with a meal. Sunday Keysis begins on Sunday, August 26.
Option
#2 is the Catholic Study Group that meets on Wednesday nights
from 7:00 to 8:00pm at the Youth Office, also at St. Joseph School on
Coulter Ave. Wednesday Catholic Study Group begins on Wednesday,
August 29.
The schedule will be mailed upon completion of the registration
process. Please print out and mail in the Confirmation Registration form
and payment as soon as possible.
Please keep in mind the importance of
continued religious education during this important Confirmation
preparation year. Your support of your child’s religious
education will not only strengthen his/her faith right now, but it will
carry with him/her into their adult lives.
Any high school student who has already been Confirmed and who is
interested in sharing their faith is invited to become a Teen
Confirmation Leader. TCLs will help facilitate the Confirmation
sessions and the Confirmation Retreat. Just complete this application and
turn it in to John Valentino.
