ABOUT HIGH SCHOOL We meet several times throughout the week. Here are the options for our high school youth:
Alpha Youth: These nights are open to all of our youth at St. Joseph. We meet on Sunday nights from 6:30-8:30pm in the PAC to grow in a personal relationship with the Lord and learn about the Catholic Church. Our youth meet in small groups led by Core Team members.
Reach Nights: Also known as celebration night. Reach Nights happen once a month. This is a social night and we encourage your children to bring all their friends! All youth in high school are invited, whether or not they’re parishioners.
Discipleship Group:DGs meet in parents' homes. These groups dive deeper in prayer and Church teaching. These youth are not required to attend Youth Group on Sundays, but will be expected to attend Reach Nights. At Reach Nights we want our youth in DGs to lead by example and to serve their peers. Apply to be in a DG by clicking here.
Young Apostles: Apply for Young Apostles, where we grow as leaders in the Church. We meet once a month (most often on the 3rd Tuesday of the month) for spiritual and practical formation. These youth are expected to participate in Reach Nights and retreats by being a leader on mission. Applications open in May to be on the team for the following year.
Beyond: Beyond is an optional night where we dive deeper into topics about the Church. We provide time for the youth to ask questions and discuss. We also bring in speakers to talk about specific topics, such as consecrated life and the Eucharist. Beyond is the Wednesday following the first Sunday of the month from 7:30-8:45pm.
